Sturgess To Extend Needham Spell

27 February 2018

Colchester United defender Callum Sturgess has extended his loan spell with Needham Market for a further month.

The former Crystal Palace man has played six times for the Marketmen so far, and will now spend more time with the Suffolk side.

They ran out 3-2 winners at the weekend to extend their unbeaten run to six games and pull themselves further away from trouble in the Bostik Premier.

Josh Pollard played ninety minutes for Harlow Town, who fell to a 4-2 defeat against Staines as the visitors staged a second half comeback.

Ryan Clampin played half an hour as substitute as Maldon & Tiptree's play-off hopes received a blow with a 2-1 home defeat to Mildenhall.

George Keys grabbed 89 minutes for Brightlingsea as they lost at home to Merstham, with Ollie Sims making his Regent debut with 45 minutes from the substitutes' bench.

Denny Johnstone was also a second half substitute for St Johnstone and they got back to winning ways with a 2-0 win over Ross County.

However, Craig Slater was an unused substitute as Dundee United lost to Livingston on Friday night.

There were no games for Aaron Barnes, Tommy O'Sullivan or Dillon Barnes at the weekend, whilst Cameron James missed Chelmsford's loss at Oxford City through injury.
