Colchester United's U23s got back to winning ways on Monday afternoon, as they beat Queens Park Rangers to secure all three points.
They had been involved in a goalfest in their last outing, losing 4-3 to Swansea City, but responded by beating the R's 3-2 at Florence Park.
The U's had taken the lead just before the half hour mark thanks to a first goal in Colchester colours by Junior Ogedi-Uzokwe.
However, by the half time interval, Rangers were in front thanks to a quick fire brace from Illias Chair and Chay Tilt.
In the second half, the U's were to turn the game around and again there were two goals in relatively quick succession.
First, Ryan Gondoh drew the home side level at 2-2, before Ogedi-Uzokwe got his second of the game to give the U's the lead for the second time.
And Wayne Brown's boys were able to hold on and secure a welcome three points.
