Fresh from their win against Birmingham last week, the U's U18s travelled to take on high flying Leeds United on Saturday.
Leeds sat top of the northern section, contesting with Sheffield Wednesday for the title.
The home side quickly asserted their authority, as the U's were hit by an early home onslaught that saw them very soon 2-0 down.
Around the half hour mark, the hosts added a third goal as, after a scramble in the visiting box, it ended with an own goal.
Three down at the break, it was to be an uphill battle for the away side and a ball into the box saw Jenkins net his second of the match.
It was the U16s youngster from the home squad who scored his team’s fifth as he got on the end of another ball into the away area.
And a final home goal came from Henri Kumwenda, who scored from a corner. The win guaranteed Leeds a place in the play-offs at the end of the season, where they are likely to face either Ipswich Town or Cardiff City.
