Colchester United U23s will kick off their 2021/22 season on Tuesday afternoon at Maldon and Tiptree with the visit of Barnsley.
It's the beginning of a new season for the U's U23 side, with the visit of Barnsley to the Maldon Stadium on Tuesday afternoon.
Last season's campaign saw a number of players make their breakthrough into the first team, with the likes of Marley Marshall Miranda, Tom Stagg, Samson Tovide, Harvey Sayer and Billy Cracknell all making their professional debut's as well as Sam Cornish being included in the final matchday eighteen.
This season's group will be looking to get their campaign off to a good start against the Tykes on Tuesday afternoon, under the management of Dave Huzzey and Richard Hall.
