COVID-19 Update

Work with us to prevent the spread!

14 December 2021

Following the increase in Omicron cases of COVID-19 across the country, some changes have been made in terms of football attendance.

The main changes surrounding COVID passes won't affect supporters attending Colchester United home matches, but we would like all supporters to work with us in this latest fight against COVID-19.

There will be aspects of the new regulations that fans should be aware of when attending the JobServe Community Stadium.

From Wednesday 15th December, the wearing of face coverings when located in indoor areas of stadiums becomes mandatory, apart from when eating or drinking or if exempt.

This means that supporters and staff using the concourse areas, hospitality lounges, corridors and stairwells  will be required to wear face coverings until they get to their seat in the stadium to watch the game.

We will continue to provide as much hand sanitiser as we can, and we encourage fans to use it and/or wash their hands regularly.

Minimising close contact with others will also help us all stay safe, so fans are reminded to practise social distancing as best they can whilst in the stadium or moving around the stadium.

One of the most effective ways to prevent the spread is to get your Vaccinations and Booster. You can book on the NHS Website to have them here at the stadium or at the various venues across Colchester and the surrounding area.
