U's preparing for trip to Harrogate on Tuesday evening

9 March 2021

Colchester United will be on the road for the first of three away games in a row on Tuesday evening, when they make the trip to the Envirovent Stadium for the first time.

Wayne Brown and Hayden Mullins will be preparing their side for the trip to a Harrogate side who had their three match winning streak ended at the weekend by a similarly in form Stevenage.

The U's were beaten by Newport County at the JobServe Community Stadium 0-2, with a goal in either half for the Exiles, who went back into the top seven with the win.

Colchester United will have to prepare for the game without talismanic forward, Frank Nouble, who has to serve a one game ban after receiving two yellow cards against his old side Newport County.

But Wayne Brown's side will be back on the road again, for what is the first of three away games in a row, starting with Harrogate Town. And the Interium U's Head Coach is looking for a reaction to his side's last performance.

"We are going to go behind in games from now until the end of the season, it's the law of averages, but it's how we react when we do go behind." - Wayne Brown

"We want a reaction if we go behind. We want to hear voices, we want leaders.

"There was nothing in the game in the first half against Newport, and the manner in which they scored their first was disappointing. But we lacked quality in the final third and that let us down.

"We invited pressure into the box in the second half, and going 2-0 is a massive struggle.

"It's fine margins, but these fine margins have got to start going our way."
