New initiative to rehome commercial office furniture

Workhorse Group have launched an exciting new initiative to rehome commercial office furniture previously destined for landfills.

Launched in January 2022, ReWork offers Schools, Charities and Start Up Businesses the opportunity to browse and lay claim to a vast range of office furniture free of charge.

In a bid to reduce waste and help the environment, Workhorse Group have launched the scheme alongside pledging to offset their carbon emissions and becoming a Climate Positive Workforce. Over the past two months Workhorse have offset over 109 tonnes of Carbon and planted over 1500 trees through partnering with environmental organisation Ecologi.

Colchester United Commercial Executive Ben Conway has said about the scheme: 

‘Throughout our partnership, Workhorse Group have continuously proven their commitment to being a socially responsible organisation. ReWork is a fantastic initiative that not only tackles the growing problem of excess waste in modern day society, but also gives local organisations the opportunity at utilising much needed resources that may have previously not been easily available to them’.

Simon Dickerson, the Managing Director or Workhorse Group added:

‘We are excited and humbled that a large number of our commercial customers share our ReWork vision in giving back to communities and new businesses alike. By donating their unwanted office furniture they help us work towards a sustainable planet by reducing waste and landfill.’
