U’s centre back, Fiacre Kelleher, has spoken ahead of this evening's massive game against Crawley Town.
With a win this evening, League Two football for the 2023/24 season will be in touching distance for the U’s as they travel to Crawley in the hopes to get one over their relegation rivals, it’ll be a tough game for the U’s but Kelleher is confident.
The U’s centre back has said that the U’s have a good game plan ready for tonight’s match and is confident that the side can get the win. He also admitted that the side could’ve have been better in the second half away win against Salford.
“Another big game but we’re going into it with a lot of confidence off the back of two wins. The other day, Salford away I thought was a particularly good one, we showed a lot of good character there to dig in and fight for that win. We’re in a good place at the minute, there’s a lot of belief so we’re going into this one with a lot of confidence.
“There’s certainly things to improve upon with the ball and in possession and just for us it’s focussing on making sure that we do things correctly and not slacking off maybe like we did in the second half a little bit against Salford, so they’re the main things really.
“We need to just keep our composure, making sure that we’re focussed on our jobs, we have a set game plan now that we think will see us over the line hopefully and if we just stick to that then I’m sure we can come away with the win.”
