U's striker Samson Tovide could return to the starting line-up this weekend after serving his three-game suspension.
Ben Garner has been without his number nine after Tovide saw red for a challenge at Cardiff City, but could return to the starting eleven on Saturday afternoon against Gillingham.
After having a couple of weeks out of match action, Tovide says he’d ready and raring to go, should he be given the nod to make his mark on the game on Saturday afternoon.
“I just can’t wait to get going. Coming back from the red card hasn’t been easy, but I’ve had the support from the coach and the lads, and I’ll learn from it.
“It’s not been nice to see, but I can see the boys are working hard and I’ve been doing all I can to support them, but to be back in, I know what I can bring to the team.
“All the coaches have done a lot to make sure I’m up to speed and come Saturday, I’ll be fit and ready to go.”
