Will Finnie will oversee Colchester United’s Sky Bet League Two clash against Salford City on Friday evening at the JobServe Community Stadium.
He will be assisted by David Harrison, Gareth Viccars and James Vallance.
Finnie has been refereeing in League One and League Two since the 2019-20 season. Since then, he has overseen eight games involving the U’s. Out of those eight matches, Colchester won two, lost five and drew one.
His most recent match involving the North Essex side ended in a 2-2 draw against Cardiff City in the Carabao Cup earlier this year. In that clash, Finnie issued two yellow cards and sent off Samson Tovide just before the 90th-minute mark with the U’s getting knocked out on penalties.
When it comes to his stats for the 2023-24 campaign, the official has so far officiated twenty games, giving out sixty-eight yellow cards and four reds.
