Injury Update | Tom Dallison

U's defender out for two months

3 February 2023

Colchester United defender Tom Dallison has been ruled out of action with a knee injury.

U’s boss Matt Bloomfield has confirmed that Tom Dallison will be side-lined with a knee injury for up to two months.

Dallison picked up the injury in the U’s home match against Salford City last week, and was replaced by Fiacre Kelleher after thirty-four minutes.

U’s boss Matt Bloomfield said:  "Tom is going to be out for a little while.

"It's a shame for Tom as he was playing really well especially since we've gone to a back three, playing on the left side but also playing in the middle against Salford for that first 20 minutes - I thought he was very, very good.

"He looked really comfortable in there and we're disappointed to lose him.

"We hope he'll do his rehab as quickly as possible and we'll welcome him back, as and when we can. There's no definitive timeframe - that will come down to his work load and how quickly he can heal.

"There was a fear that he was going to need an operation but he doesn't, which is really, really good news. But I think we're still looking at a couple of months."

Everyone at Colchester United would like to wish Tom a speedy recovery.
