Matt Bloomfield issues a message to everyone at Colchester United.
Following his appointment as Wycombe Wanderers new Manager, Matt said:
After what has been a whirlwind few days, I wanted to take the time to thank everyone at Colchester United for the support they gave me throughout my time with the club.
I will be eternally grateful to Robbie and the board for putting their faith in me by giving me my first opportunity in management, and I will always look back fondly at the time I spent at what is a fantastic club with so many wonderful people who helped me along the way.
We enjoyed some great memories up and down the country and I know the next manager will be inheriting a fantastic group of players who will kick on and enjoy a strong finish to the season.
Thank you once again to the board, all the staff and players, and to the fans who got right behind me from day one and welcomed me into their club.
I'm excited for my new adventure back at Wycombe but will always look back fondly at my time with Colchester.
I'm sure our paths will cross again and I look forward to catching up with everyone when that time comes.
