Colchester United will host either Southend United or Braintree Town in the Quarter Final of the BBC Essex Senior Cup.
Dave Huzzey’s side found out their opponents yesterday evening after successfully navigating their way past Dagenham and Redbridge, and Saffron Walden in the previous two rounds.
And their ten-goal victory over the Bloods in the Fourth Round has set up a potential tie against fierce rivals Southend United for a place in the semi-finals.
The U21s will find out whether it will be Southend United or Braintree Town on Tuesday 17th January when the two meet at Roots Hall, with details of the home tie to be released in due course.
