Colchester United Goalkeeper Kieran O’Hara says that Saturday’s defeat won’t demoralise the squad ahead of this evening’s game against Salford City.
The U’s were handed their first defeat of the New Year at the weekend, with Gillingham taking all three points from the JobServe Community Stadium. But O’Hara insists the team will be fully prepared for the next challenge, and the visit of Salford City this evening.
“We’ve had some good results of late, and it was a difficult one to take on Saturday. But we can’t dwell on it, there’s no time for that especially with the good form we’ve shown, and we’ll go again against Salford.
“We just want to get straight back on the horse, play again as soon as possible. We all want to get it out of our system, we’re all ready, have completed our recovery work and are prepared for the game.
“We’ll just focus on ourselves and what we can bring. We’ve got some good threats and we’ll do our research on what our opposition can offer, but we need to concentrate on what we can do.”
