Adult Pan-Disability Football Session

New programme for adults in Colchester

26 May 2023

Our adult Pan-disability session is a new programme the foundation is running for those over eighteen-years-old with a disability in Colchester and surrounding areas.

Thanks to the funding provided by Colchester Catalyst Charity we are now able to offer this free session that uses the power of football to connect and unite adults and help them reach their full potential within sports and social skills. The programme is to support anyone over the age of eighteen with a physical or mental disability who may have not had the opportunity to play football before or those who are regular players and want an extra session to enjoy in their week. The session is there to offer opportunity to engage in an element of fitness, personal development opportunities and to have some fun.

Georgia Dean, the Community Development Officer at CUCF said: “It is great we have been given this funding to run this programme at a completely free cost for those individuals. I believe everyone should have the opportunity to be involved in physical activity. I believe this programme will give those wanting to be activity and meet new people the opportunity to do so and we as a team are excited to see how far we can grow this to help others.”

Here at Colchester United Community Foundation we want to make sure there is opportunity for all age’s groups, all abilities and for anyone who just wants to get involved. These sessions are FREE and it is a great way to meet friends or find a pathway into the footballing world. As a club would like to welcome you to be part of a great community.

Location of the session is Jobserve Community stadium, 5pm-6pm every Monday (Starting 5th June).
