2 November 2023

Games keep coming thick and fast for Colchester United U21s. Having played on Tuesday night, the U’s will take on Millwall at Maldon & Tiptree on Friday 3rd November at 7pm.

The U21s have lost their last eight games, succumbing to six defeats in the Professional Development League and two in the Premier League Cup.

The U’s last victory came against Barnsley U21 on 21st August. The youngsters beat the Tykes by three goals to two.

Last time out, the U’s were defeated 2-0 by Ipswich Town when they travelled to Needham Market.

Colchester now find themselves in ninth place out of ten in the PDL table. They have the same number of points (6) as Cardiff City who sit in last place purely on goal difference.

Millwall, on the other hand, have made a decent start to the season and currently find themselves occupying the third spot.

Out of their nine league games, they won five, drew three and lost one, amassing eighteen points. They are two points behind the league leaders QPR but have a game in hand.

Last time out, the Lions succumbed to their first league defeat of the season when they faced Bournemouth.

Despite home advantage, Millwall ended up losing 2-1.
