Jamie O’Connor has been appointed as the referee for this evening’s clash with Cambridge United.
It will be the first time that O’Connor has overseen an EFL match, having only previously officiated within the National League. It will be his first game overseeing either Cambridge or Colchester.
This season, he’s been in charge of six games in the National League, where he’s handed out twenty-five yellow cards and two reds. His last match was on 7th October, where he was in the middle for Dorking Wanderers vs Barnet.
He will be assisted by Gary Maskell, Michael Webb and Christopher Pollard.
