Colchester United travelled to Grimsby on a cold Tuesday night hoping to bring all three points back to North Essex.
Matty Etherington took charge of his first game as interim head coach, making a couple of changes to the squad that took on Harrogate on the weekend.
And the U’s fought out a vital 3-2 victory, despite going 1-0 down early on in the game. Despite the hosts coming back from behind on a couple of occasions, strikes from Joe Taylor, Zach Mitchell and Arthur Read secured the vital win.
