Colchester United’s on loan goalkeeper Owen Goodman played the full ninety minutes for England U20s in their match against Romania last night.
It was the Young Lions’ first match in the Men’s Euro Elite matches, with Goodman and his teammates travelling to the Arcul de Triumf Stadium in Bucharest.
But the hosts proved too much for England’s youngsters as Joe Edwards’ side succumbed to a 2-0 defeat.
Goodman and his teammates will now return to England for the second of their international matches in this set, with Portugal’s youngsters visiting Stadium MK on Tuesday evening – when the U’s goalkeeper will be hoping for another outing for his country.
