Scott Oldham has been named as the referee for the U’s next match against Grimsby Town.
Oldham is a referee with plenty of experience in the EFL, having officiated in the league since the start of the 2017/18 season. He has been in charge of a handful of U’s games, with the last one coming at in the 2021/22 season when Colchester were beaten 3-0 by Northampton at Sixfields.
In his eleven games this season, Oldham has handed out forty-one cards in total; thirty-nine yellows and two reds. His last game was in League One, where he was in the middle for Charlton's home win over Reading at the weekend.
He will be assisted by Daniel Woodward, Stephen Wade and Jake Topp.
