This weekend is Green Football Weekend and Colchester United Community Foundation are partnering up with Forest Green Rovers Community to host a food and clothes bank collection outside the South Stand.
Green Football weekend aims to shed light on the danger climate change poses to the beautiful game. Our Colchester United Community Foundation Premier League Kicks ambassadors will be running the stand.
The Premier League Kicks programme use the power of football and sport to inspire young people to reach their potential. The programme also creates opportunities for young people who are at risk of anti-social behaviour, youth violence and from high need areas to engage in football, sport and social action projects to help the local community It would be great if you could help out by bringing any of the following from the list here - any unwanted clothes and shoes that are in a good condition would be greatly appreciated too.
All donations will be split 50/50 between Colchester United and Forest Green Rovers and then re-disrupted to local food banks who will be able to give this out to people who need it most.
