U's skipper speaking ahead of this weekend's clash with Bradford

12 January 2024

Colchester United host Bradford City at the JobServe Community Stadium, with Danny & Nicky Cowley looking for their first wins at the U’s.

And the U’s Skipper Connor Hall says the supporters will have a big role to play if the team are to get something out of this weekend’s game.

Hall says that the welcome the supporters gave them on Saturday last week, and the noise that they made throughout the game spurred them on to get the ninety-fourth minute equaliser, taking a point at the County Ground.

“It was a tough game against Bradford last time at their place, but I feel we’re in a much better place now to face them. It will be an exciting game, and I’ve seen the stuff on social media with the fans looking to get right behind us. That’s all we can ask for and we’ve got to go and put in a performance for them.

“It’s been a really good turnaround in terms of positivity around the camp. The presence that the both of them bring is massive, and we’ve seen it straight away from the first day.

“As soon as we got off the bus at Swindon, the fans were there in their numbers and when we went out for the warm ups, it was the loudest it’s been all season for us. Even during the game when times were tough, we could still hear the fans backing us and that’s what we’re going to need now until the end of the season. That’s massive for us.”
