Colchester United signed Zach Mitchell on a season-long loan from Charlton Athletic in September 2023.
Zach has been with the Addicks for over ten years, coming up through the Academy at The Valley and signing his first professional contract in the summer of 2022.
He was named on the bech for Colchester's clash against Wallsall, a day after he signed the loan deal, but did not feature in that game.
The eighteen-year-old made his U's debut a week later in Colchester's 2-0 victory over Tranmere Rovers, massively contributing to the U's keeping a clean sheet.
