Colchester United

Conor Wilkinson was the U's first signing of January 2024, putting pen-to-paper on a one-and-a-half-year deal with the club.

Wilkinson joined Colchester on a permanent deal for an undisclosed fee from Scottish Premiership side Motherwell in early January. 

The tall striker has plenty of experience in the lower leagues of English football after spening time with Leyton Orient, Walsall and Gillingham over his career; he has also picked up a handful of caps for the Irish youth sides. 

Progressing through the academy at Millwall, he made the move north to Bolton Wanderers, spending much of his time away from the Trotters on loan. 

Stints at Chester, Oldham, Barnsley and Portsmouth were just a few of his destinations. His time at Dagenham was his most prolific with twelve goals in twenty-three games, earning him a move to EFL side Leyton Orient.
