Colchester United boss Danny Cowley has issued a rallying call to supporters ahead of this weekend’s home clash with Wrexham at the JobServe Community Stadium.

There is not a ticket to be had in the home end for Colchester United’s clash with the promotion-chasing side on Saturday.

And Danny Cowley has spoken about how supporters can play their part in the game when they get to the ground.

“If you support Arsenal or Man City, you go as a spectator. You go to watch the game, to be entertained, almost like you’re going to the theatre.

“At Colchester United you go, of course to enjoy the game, but to know that you can influence the game. Go back to Good Friday against Newport County, the energy, enthusiasm and will of the supporters got us over the line.

“My team talk for the supporters is have the early night on the Friday night, not too many beers, be in the best position come Saturday morning to get to the ground early and support the players, create the atmosphere and to drive the energy!

“We need everyone who is connected to the club to bring the very best version of themselves – we play on Saturday to win the game.”
