Alex Chilowicz will officiate Colchester United’s clash against MK Dons on Boxing Day at Stadium MK (KO 3pm). He will be assisted by Marvyn Amphlett, Joseph Stokes and James Oldham.
Chilowicz has recently relocated to England from the USA and will now predominantly oversee League One and League Two games.
The thirty-six-year-old made his debut in Major League Soccer (MLS) in 2017 when he was the referee for Colorado Rapids v D.C. United.
Spanning six years, he officiated 237 games in America’s top-flight while he also acted as the Video Assistant Referee for the MLS All-Star fixture in 2018 and fourth official in the MLS Cup final in 2020.
Chilowicz’s first outing in the EFL came when he acted as the fourth official in a clash between MK Dons and Forest Green Rovers earlier this month.
The match between the U's and MK Dons on Boxing Day will be his first as the main referee.
Chilowicz refereed twenty-five games in the MLS this season, issuing ninety-three yellow cards and four reds.
