Micah Mbick performs as one of the most physically imposing and talented forwards in the U’s squad and in English Football League. He holds the ultimate instant impact on turning the game to the U’s advantage, at just 19 years old.
His youth career began at Charlton Athletic at the U10 side and, at an inspiring rate, progressed through every challenge he faced. He was confirmed as a scholar in June 2023.
On 15th November 2023, he made his first-team debut, scoring three minutes after coming on as late substitute in a 6-1 FA Cup First Round win against Cray Valley Paper Mills. He signed his first professional contract in December 2023, and five days later, he made his debut in the football league.
At the end of the 2023/24 season, he concluded with more than 40 goals across three different age groups.On 4th July 2025, Mbick signed a new three-year contract with Charlton Athletic with an option of an additional year.
On September 1st 2025, Mbick signed with U’s on loan until the end of the 2025/26 season.
On 7th November 2025, Mbick received his first call-up to the England U20s squad. He debuted on 14th November 2025, playing against Japan at the Eco-Power Station, resulting in a 1-1 draw.
During his time with the U’s, he made 7 goals in 23 appearances. His first goal for the U’s was 19 days after he signed, scoring a 78-minute goal which resulted in a 1-1 draw against Bristol Rovers.
But Mbick’s dominance for the game was sealed when he scored not once, but twice, concluding with a 1-2 away win against Grimsby Town.
